Manchester City drew a blank for the second time this week to lose vital ground in the title race with a 0-0 draw against Norwich City.
Manuel Pellegrini's previously free-scoring side – who last month reached 100 goals in all competitions faster than any team in the Premier League era - have run into unforeseen problems in their last two outings, losing the Premier League's top spot to Chelsea in the process.

A 1-0 loss at home to Jose Mourinho's side on Monday was compounded by another lacklustre display at Carrow Road – the absence of Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho due to a muscle strain once again keenly felt.

Three professors of  the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, were killed yesterday February 7th in a fatal automobile accident along the Abuja-Kaduna Express Way in Kaduna. The professors, Samuel Kafewo (left), Nanaaisha Ali (centre) and Dr Martins Ayegba (right) all from the University’s Department of Theatre and Performing Arts, were on their way to Zaria from Abuja when their car was involved in the accident. This law – which contains penalties of up to 14 years in prison for anyone in a same-sex marriage or civil union, 10 years for anyone who attends a same-sex wedding, 10 years for anyone involved with an LGBT organization, and even 10 years for anyone who shows affection for someone of the same sex – should be cast out. Since the law was passed, police across Nigeria have begun arresting and torturing dozens of our fellow citizens suspected of being gay. Don’t forget that in some of our states, if you are found guilty of being gay, you could be stoned to death.

Bianca Ojukwu becomes APGA national leader

The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, yesterday February 6th adopted Bianca Ojukwu, wife of the party's late National Leader, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, as the party’s National Leader.

This was made known by the party's leader, Chief Maxi Okwu at a National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting in Abuja yesterday.
