The Nigerian came on with a minute left in the Reds' massive victory over the Citizens on Sunday afternoon
Victor Moses
was a late substitute as Liverpool defeated Manchester City 3-2 at
Anfield to continue their push for a first Premier League title in 24
years.
The Nigerian, who has been consigned to the bench for most
of his loan period with the Reds, replaced Brazilian match winner
Coutinho in the 89th minute.
Coutinho had scored the winning goal
a few minutes earlier in the 78th and Brendan Rodgers' introduction of
Moses was able to help the hosts shore up the midfield after Liverpool
were reduced to 10 men following the sending off of Henderson in added
time.
