PHOTOS: Arisekola Buried In Ibadan

The late Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Abdul-Azeez Arisekola, was buried in his home in Ibadan, Oyo State, western Nigeria on Friday, 20 June, 2014 amid tears by family members, friends and associates.
It could be recalled that the late Arisekola died in a London Hospital on Wednesday and his remains were brought to Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan at exactly 10.05am today for prayer.
News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports that after the prayer led by the Chief Imam of Ibadan, Haruna Suara, the corpse was taken to his Oluwokekere House, Ibadan, for interment.

Ex militant, Ateke Tom added a year on the 14th of June and he celebrated with Nollywood stars.
It was a star studded event as the likes of Desmond Eliot, Ramsey Nouah, Terry G, Alex Usifo, Pete Edochie, Joyce Kalu, Ibinabo Fiberesima and Emeka Rollas, Terry G, Sir Shina Peters and a host of other celebrities.
The former Niger Delta freedom fighter who turned 52 had his birthday bash at his mansion in Okochiri, Okirika.

Younger brother of footballers Yaya and Kolo Toure dies aged 28

The younger brother of Premier League and Ivory Coast footballers Yaya and Kolo Toure died yesterday June 19th in the UK. Ibrahim Toure (pictured left), who was also a professional footballer, was just 28 years old. His cause of death has not been made known but he's said to have died just hours after Ivory Coast lost 2-1 to Colombia at the World Cup. May his soul rest in peace, amen.

Singer Cynthomania aka Ada Owerri Dies In Her 20s

Week after the tragic news about gospel singer Kefee's death rocked Nigeria, another young musician passed away in her 20s.
The fast rising Imo State-born artiste Cynthia Akudo Jonah, aka Cynthomania (or Ada Owerri), was said to have died on June 18 following the brief illness, popular blogger Linda Ikeji says.
The singer, who has recently released the single "Ukwu Ajebutter", was set to drop her debut album soon.
The sad news was officially provided by Cynthomania's manager who didn't give any further details.
May her tender soul rest in peace.

BET Lines Up Tiwa And Ice Prince For Grand Perfomance

BET awards organizers have announced that Nigerian duo Tiwa Savage and Ice Prince will perform in this year's award scheduled to hold on the 29th of June live at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. 


This would be a welcome back for Ice Prince after he won last year's BET Best International act Africa after failing to win two years back, Meanwhile this is Tiwa's first nomination.
Also scheduled to perform are South African duo Mafikizolo and Ghanaian hip hop artist Sarkodie will perform too with their Nigerian counterparts.

Reportedly, Florence Okechukwu gave birth to a baby girl earlier today, June 18.
The white wedding of the couple who play love birds, Chuks and Ene, in Tinsel took place in Surulere Lagos on April 17, 2013. While their traditional wedding took place in January, 2013.
It worth mentioning that the two also welcomed their first baby on the series last year.

Nigerians Hold Memorial Service For Late Singer, Kefee In California, USA

Friends and family of the late Nigerian singer, Irikefe Obareki, popularly known as Kefee, have concluded plans to hold a memorial service and a celebration of life for the Kokoroko crooner on Thursday, 19 June, 2014.
Pulse reports that the event, which will hold in California, USA, will parade some of the finest Nigerian gospel singers and ministers who are based in the US.
According to the organizers of the service, the occasion will not be an event for tears but that of celebrating the impacts the late Kefee had on Nigerians with her soul lifting songs, industry and encouraging spirit.
It could be recalled that the late Branama Queen passed on on Friday, June 13, 2014, in the United States of America.
According to her manager, the late singer died of lung cancer.
The remains of the late gospel singer arrived Nigeria on Tuesday, 17 June, 2014 ahead of the burial which will hold later this month.
Kefee's body was flown into the country via a Delta Airline aircraft and touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, at 4 pm.
As the Obareki's family prepares for Kefee's burial, we wish them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

Nigerian transgender Ms Sahhara Henson was spotted at the Mr World competition held June 15 in the UK.
Mr Nigeria Emmanuel Ikubese came 2nd at the contest and was also voted the most stylish participant.
Right after the occasion Emmanuel took to social media to thank God for the opportunity granted and to thank people for their support.
