I believe the name VTEK is not new to any Nigerian and African music fans since the released of P-Square's 6th new studio album "Double Trouble", where the young producer produced the most songs on the album double with mixing and mastering the album.

The producer/artiste set to join the league of other independent music entrepreneurs as he officially unveil his personal entertainment empire Awesome Express Music, that home his production works and a digital record label with a female signee Ms.DUMEBI.

Katsina governor reportedly orders student detained for criticizing him on Facebook

A student of the National Open University of Nigeria, Abdulmalik Sa’idu, has been languishing in a police cell for over 20 days on the orders of the Governor of Katsina State, Ibrahim Shema, for posting details of an alleged fertilizer scam in the state on his Facebook wall, Premium Times reports

This was disclosed to Premium Times by Mr. Sa’idu’s family and lawyer. Abdulmalik was first invited to the Katsina Government House on August 28 by a phone caller who claimed he had a message for him. But when Abdulmalik arrived at the governor’s office, he was promptly arrested, handcuffed and taken to Batagarawa Police Station just outside the state capital, Katsina, and detained on the orders of Mr. Shema’s aide-de-camp, Shehu Koko, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP.

Political campaigns have begun and the first casualty has been recorded in the centre of Lagos politics, the Lagos Island. A popular local politician named Azeez Ashake was shot dead at close range in front of his house at Isale Eko on Saturday September 20th by suspected political thugs.

His son, Usman was also shot but is said to still be alive receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Lagos Island. Azeez Ashake is said to be a strong leader of a particular political group in Lagos Island, and is said to be very influential. His killing caused a lot of chaos in Isale Eko over the weekend, where it's been reported that four people have so far been killed in retaliation for his death. Mom 'used her last breath' to save daughter by hiding her in the toilet as marine father shoots her dead

A mother saved her six-month-old baby with her 'last breath,' sheltering the infant in the toilet after her boyfriend shot her in the head and turned the gun on himself. Jessica Arrendale, 33 (pictured with her baby), was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head along with Antoine Davis (right), 30, who police believe shot himself and Arrendale in a murder-suicide in an Atlanta suburb.

Police had surrounded Arrendale's townhouse. When they finally entered the home, they found the baby safe inside and rushed her to the hospital to treat her for hypothermia.
