World renowned American singer, Usher has come out and said he does not regret getting married at a young age and says it taught him some important life lessons.
Usher was talking at a recent interview with O magazine, the now 35 year old singer talked about getting marrried at the age of 38 to Tameka from 2007 to 2009.
Usher said his marriage was actually quite beneficial to him, he said: ‘Getting married at 28. Most people probably think I regret it because I ended up getting divorced, but it helped me learn that sometimes I think I know more than I actually do’.

Beautiful Nollywood actress, Susan Peters in a recent interview talked about a female’s dignity in the work field and everyday life.
The actress sat down with sunnewsonline and told ladies to stop using their bodies to get monetary gifts
She said: First, I will say that we (women) are like flowers that blossom for sometimes, but after a while go down. If you misuse your body when you are growing up, it will definitely tell on you when you are ageing. I advise young women not to misuse their body for monetary reasons. Secondly, I will advise them to go to school and try to complete their education. They should be well focused on a particular vocation and develop on it.

Students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, are currently protesting in the state, demanding a reduction in their school fees. The students have barricaded the Presidential boulevard, the route leading to the office of Governor Ibikunle Amosun, saying they will not leave until the governor, who is said to be on his way to his office, addresses them.

The students were reportedly shot at and tear-gassed by soldiers this morning as they marched to the Governors office. After being tear-gassed, angry students started destroying public property. They had initially embarked on a peaceful protest, but turned violent after the teargas. Continue...

His wife was with him. She revealed yesterday that Robin had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and was in the early stages of the disease but was not ready to share the diagnosis with the rest of the world.

Meanwhile I actually have a pic of the late legendary actor's corpse in the coroner's office with the belt mark on his neck. Didn't share it because it's too gruesome and probably disrespectful. So sad!

Popular Nigerian singer, Kcee the Limpopo crooner has recounted how he was embarrassed while on tour in America over the Chibok girls who were abducted by the dreaded Boko Haram since April.
Sharing his experience during a press conference to unveil PMAN’s peace pet project tagged ‘Lighting Up The Unity Flame’, at PMAN office, Opebi, Lagos, Kcee said the airport cab driver who took him to his hotel room in New York, upon realizing he was Nigerian, quizzed him about the Chibok girls. The cab driver asked him if they had been found and he was so embarrassed that he had nothing to say, Daily Sun reports.
He said the same thing also happened when he went to Los Angeles.

Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh apologized to Geneviev Nnaji as some magazine published fake interview with the actress, claiming that Dikeh doesn’t want to end up single like Nnaji.
Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram to share shock over ‘her recent’ interview where she allegedly dissed Genevieve Nnaji.
The actress confirmed that this interview – that says “if she (Tonto) keep waiting for an Igbo man, she will just end up like Geneviev Nnaji who is eternally single” – is fake and she never described Genevieve as eternally single.

Kunle Afolayan And Brother Isolated In Seychelles Over Ebola

As panic over the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus continue to rise, most countries have started taking precautionary measures, thoroughly screening incoming passengers especially those from Western countries where cases of the virus has been reported.
Top Nollywood filmmaker and actor, Kunle Afolayan and his younger brother, Gabriel Afolayan who is also an actor were isolated on their arrival at Seychelles airport because of the Ebola fear.
This was disclosed by Kunle via his Facebook page. He added that Gabriel had to do a test as he didn’t have his yellow fever card.

He also shared some photos from their trip.

Newly married nurse confirmed to have Ebola in Lagos

A newly married nurse who had direct contact with late Patrick Sawyerr, the Liberian with the first case of Ebola virus in Nigeria, has tested positive to the deadly disease. 

According to the Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, the husband of the nurse is among the 177 people placed under surveillance.

He said that ten cases of the disease have so far been confirmed in Nigeria, two of them dead while eight are alive and undergoing treatment.
A nurse who had direct contact with Patrick Sawyer died last Wednesday August 6th.

Boko Haram seizes four towns in Borno and Yobe states

Last week, Boko Haram men took over four towns in Borno and Yobe states after a gun battle with  military men guarding the areas.The four towns they seized are; Gwoza in Borno state and Buni Yadi, Buni Gari and Goniri, all in Gujba local government area of Yobe State.

Not only did they overwhelm the Nigerian soldiers deployed to guard the towns, they also killed at least 100 residents, including the brother of Emir of Gwosa and the chief Imam of Gwoza's major Mosque. Continue...
