FRSC to introduce ‘flying ticket policy’ for road offenders

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has announced it will soon be introducing 'Flying Ticket Policy' to penalize traffic offenders in the country.

 

The FRSC made this known yesterday September 11th at a conference in Abuja. They said the policy would empower officers of the commission to take picture evidence of traffic offenders in the country

"We are going to introduce flying tickets for traffic offenders which will enable our men and other road users to be able to report offenders by providing concrete evidence to us for prosecution. The picture of traffic offenders can be taken with mobile phone or any device that has camera. Shock photos: Liberian woman found hanging in Lagos

Earlier today I shared a pic here of a suspected suicide victim in the Magodo area of Lagos. The woman found hanging from the tree in the early hours of today September 12th on Bankole Street, Isheri-Oke, Lagos has been identified as a Liberian woman simply called Kate. 

According to Punch, the woman was a worker in a sachet water factory before she killed herself. A resident of the area said people in the area started to distance themselves from her after the outbreak of Ebola in Lagos which was brought into the country by a Liberian. They also started avoiding her because of her ill health, a situation believed to have frustrated her enough to commit suicide.

US musician Kanye West was reportedly rushed to the hospital in Australia hours before his concert in Melbourne.

The Independent reports with reference to the Australian Women’s Day that the 37-year-old performer  was to appear on Melbourne stage Wednesday evening, however around 2pm he was suddenly taken ill with migraine.
One Loraine Kelly, whose daughter was allegedly the patient at the same Epworth Hospital in Richmond booked in for West to undergo an MRI scan, said she saw Kanye and his spouse Kim (Kardashian) entering the building through the back door.

DSS to quiz Alimodu Sheriff over Boko Haram sponsorship allegation

The Department of State Security, DSS, says it will be inviting former Borno state governor, Alimodu Sheriff, for questioning following recent allegations leveled against him by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, who said he's a Boko Haram sponsor.

Speaking at a news conference today in Abuja, spokesperson for DSS, Marilyn Ogar, said the former governor had in the past been invited to the DSS office for questioning over Boko Haram activities and they will be inviting him again. FG denies hiring Stephen Davis as Boko Haram negotiator

These people like to confuse Nigerians sha. How will someone claim he was hired to do a job by a government if that is not so? FG has denied claims by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, that he was hired by the Nigerian Government to negotiate for the release of Chibok girls.
