The 12th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball held last night in New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom with the event co-hosted by Alicia Keys and Chris Rock.
The
theme for this year’s star-studded event was ‘Afro-Futurism,’ focusing
on the brilliance and originality of talents amongst Africa’s
entrepreneurs, artists, designers, musicians and activists.
The
Ball’s mission is to raise funds to help Keep a Child Alive provide
treatment and care for children and families affected by HIV in Africa
and India.
Lenny Kravitz, Wale, Lion Babe and more artists performed at the event.
Padma Lakshimi, Lewis Hamilton, Maxwell, Angela Simmons, Gayle King, Tyson Beckford,
Oluchi Orlandi, Carmelo Anthony, Andra Day and more were spotted at the event.
