The presidency has reacted to the claim by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, that he was searched and intimidated at the international airport on his arrival from Dubai. A source from the Presidency, who spoke on the claim by Atiku that the search of his aircraft was a way to harass and implicate him by security agents working for the president, said President Buhari has no hand in such things.

The source, Legit.ng gathers, urged the press to find out from the suspected security agencies involved in the alleged secret plot who ordered them to carry out the search. The source said: “You should ask all those involved to mention who sent them because the President of Nigeria cannot be dragged into this kind of a thing.”
Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that Atiku returned to Nigeria in the early hours of Sunday, November 11 to a
thorough search by state security agents .
The former vice-president returned from Dubai in a private jet around 12am, after spending over two weeks outside the country. The Adamawa-born politician confirmed via a tweet that he was searched by agents of the state, but added that he can't be intimidated.
