US senator calls Nigerian soldiers fighting Boko Haram, ‘rapists’

While in the US, president Buhari criticized the Leahy Law - a U.S. human rights law that prohibits the U.S. Department of State and Department of Defense from providing military assistance to foreign military units that violate human rights. Reacting, the sponsor of the Law, US Senator Patrick Leahy (the law is named after him) said Buhari is misguided in his criticism as the law, which has so far stopped the US govt from assisting Nigeria in the war against Boko Haram, can't be blamed for the atrocities committed by the 'murderers and rapists in the Nigerian military'.

'Lunatic' Lodge seen in Port Harcourt

This is meant to be a bus-stop shelter at First Bank Junction (Between Airforce and Rumuomasi) in Port Harcourt but it has obviously been taken over by debris and trash 'painstakingly collected' over months by a popular lunatic in the area who feels his 'dream home' needed to be built in that part of town by all means. This same lunatic sets fires under the Air Force - Stadium Road flyover which is a hazard as fire could weaken concrete and cause it to fault and crack under its own weight. I wish the Rivers State government does something about it - and fast too.
