Abacha Loot is “Too Huge” to Handle Says World Bank
In response to the inquiry, World Bank representatives said, “In response to your request, we would like to inform you that we are still considering your request and we will need additional time because the money involved is too huge for us to handle,” Channels reports.
The
report further states that it typically takes 20 working days to
respond to such requests, however; under special cases it could take
much longer time.
World Bank has asked for more time to be able to supply comprehensive information on how the recovered Abacha loot was spent.

Pro-Biafra Activists in India Threaten to Destroy Nigerian Embassy
Some pro-Biafra activists in India under the umbrella of Indigenous People of Biafra
have threatened to destroy the Nigerian embassy in the country as a
means of protesting the detention of Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu.
The
protesters took to the streets earlier this week, wore vests bearing
the insignia of Biafra, and staged a protest at the Nigerian High
Commission building in New Delhi, Punch reports.

The president of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (NANP), Jessica Elvis, has reportedly passed away this Sunday afternoon.
Elvis died Sunday afternoon in an undisclosed hospital in Benin after battling a protracted heart-related disease, Daily Post reports.

Fresh Rivers Poll: We'll Beat Wike Mercilessly - APC Boasts
According to the party, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dakuku Peterside, will mercilessly beat Wike in a free and fair election, The Cable reports.
This was claimed on Monday, October 26, in a statement by Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the spokesman for the Rivers APC chairman.
“If Wike and PDP are convinced that they truly won any election in Rivers State, we challenge them not to appeal the tribunal judgement and let the people of Rivers State decide in a free and fair election,” the statement read.
