Finally! Davido Settles with Babymama

FAMILIES of Afro hip-hop singer, David Adeleke (aka Davido) and his Baby mama, Sophia Momodu, have fi­nally signed a peace agreement.
They decided to resolve amicably, the child trafficking allegation levelled against the music star.
This came at a meeting held at the instance of the Na­tional Agency For the Prohibition of Trafficking In Per­son (NAPTIP) which was attended by Sophia, the musi­cian’s father, Deji Adeleke, Mr. and Mrs. Dele Momodu, Adeleke’s lawyer, counsel to Dele Momodu, Gbolaga Ajayi, Mr. Ajayi Famakinwa, and NAPTIP’s representa­tives. At the meeting, it was decided that the issue be resolved amicably and that both families should stop the ongoing media war.

Buhari Dismisses EFCC Chairman Ibrahim Lamorde | Replaced by Ibrahim Magu

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde has been exited from his job.

Ibrahim Magu, a top official of Economic and Governance Unit of the commission will take over his role.
Lamorde has been facing various allegations.  He was billed to appear before the Senate this week to defend himself over allegation of illegally diverting N1 trillion being proceeds from seizures from suspected treasury looters.
Lamorde was appointed in 2011 by former President Goodluck Jonathan following the removal of Farida Waziri.

Nigerian Wellington Jighere Won the Worldwide Scrabble Championship & We’re Stoked with Excitement

I love Board games – Cluedo, Monopoly, Scrabble, Sorry, Ludo, Snakes & Ladders. Anything to play when NEPA strikes and we’re all just waiting for 8pm when the generator comes on. I never quite got into Chess… I wanted to, but by the time I was old enough to play there was nobody to teach me. But Scrabble, is one of my favourite board games. With a very good vocabulary, an ability to strategize, a dash of good luck and a LOT of practice, you can become a champion at the game.

So imagine my excitement when I found out that a Nigerian won the 2015 World Scrabble Championship in Perth, Australia. According to the report in The Guardian, Wellington Jighere “beat 129 competitors to win the World English-language Scrabble Players’ Association championship on Sunday, defeating Englishman Lewis MacKay with four straight wins in the best-of-seven final round.“

How awesome is that???? He is the first African to win this championship!
