Governor Nyeson Wike confirms Dr. O.M.D Georgewill as Rector of Kenpoly, Bori

After much anticipation from Staffs and student, The Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Barr. Nyeson Wike finally arrived at The Ken-Saro Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori. The Governor was taken on a tour/inspection round the school by the Acting Rector Dr. O.M.D Georgewill.

After the Inspection, the Governor headed for the Convocation Arena were the students and management staffs of the polytechnic were ready to receive him with open hands.

The Governor commended the Acting Rector Dr. O.M.D Georgewill whose avuncular disposition and administrative prowess has brought harmony, security and students’ welfare among many others that has boosted the academic excellence of students in Ken-SaroWiwa Polytechnic and also for his hardwork within the polytechnic community.

The Governor confirmed Dr. O.M.D Georgewill as the Rector of Ken-Saro Wiwa Polytechnic Bori with students celebrating with smiling faces. The Governor Donated a Coaster Bus to the SUG and encouraged every student to be hardworking and take their academic work serious.

Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Gives Government 14-Day Ultimatum over the Murder Of Eunice Elisha

 The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has given the federal government and the Nigeria Police 14 days to unmask and bring to justice the perpetrators of the gruesome murder of Eunice Mojisola Elisha.     The ultimatum was handed down on Tuesday in Abuja by the Chairman of Kubwa Zone of the association, Polycarp Inji, at a press conference. 

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has given the federal government and the Nigeria Police 14 days to unmask and bring to justice the perpetrators of the gruesome murder of Eunice Mojisola Elisha.

The world football governing body's supremo will be in the country in the last week of July alongside his secretary general.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino and the secretary general Fatma Samoura will be in Nigeria  on July 24, 2016, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced. The football administrator who was elected Fifa president in February confirmed the visit following a meeting with NFF President Amaju Pinnick in Paris on Sunday.

"I didn't abscond from my duty post" - Abia State Chief Judge T. Uzokwe

Chief Judge of Abia State, Justice Theresa Uzoamaka Uzokwe, has denied the allegations that she absconded from her duty post to avoid the swearing-in of Dr. Uche Ogah as Governor of the state last week. It was reported that the Chief Judge went missing after INEC followed Court orders and issued a certificate of return to Uche Ogah.
In a statement issued through Mrs. Vicky Analaba - Acting Chief Registrar of Abia State Judiciary, the Chief Judge refuted the allegations and cleared the air. The statement reads,

“The attention of the Chief Judge of Abia State, Justice Theresa Uzoamaka Uzokwe, has been drawn to various
spurious and mischievous reports alleging that the Honorable Chief Judge had absconded from her duty post on Thursday 30th June 2016, to avoid swearing in Uche Ogah as Governor of Abia State. Contrary to the allegations of cowardice by mischievous politicians, the Chief Judge, was in her office throughout work time on Thursday 30 June 2016 from8:30am till 4:30pm. For the avoidance of doubt, on Thursday 30th June 2016, the Chief Judge was in her court room performing her lawful duties, including the delivery of four rulings on that date.
