Bomb blast at Abuja bus station kills several people this morning

Oh dear. This is not good. Two blasts at Nyanya Motor Park on the outskirts of Abuja this morning April 14th has killed several people with many injured.

The blast occurred at the crowded bus station around 6.45am today as commuters were about to board buses and taxis to go to work in central Abuja. Two buses full of people were struck. It is believed that one of the buses, which was parked overnight at the motor park was carrying the bomb that went off this morning.

Actress Funke Akindele Is Not In Love With A New Man

Nollywood star Funke Akindele has been working on new projects recently and made no big announcements. However, on April 7, 2014, Monday, Mama Jenifa broke the silence, denied falling in love again.

Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke who has kept mum since the news of the death of his mother hit the internet has spoken up.

It was reported last week that Jim Iyke lost his 67-years-old mother, Mrs Esomugha after a long battle with stroke on the 1st of April, 2014.
In a press statement by his publicist, Mitch Ngaman, it was stated that Jim Iyke’s mother, “Mrs Ngozi Gladys Okelue Esomugha, was born on May 3, 1947, and succumbed to a long battle with illness.”

The statement reads: “She (her late mum) was a force of nature. My big sis, my 1st wife, my confidante, my rock, my critique, my greatest fan and regal leader.

Former Nollywood Actor Uche Odoputa Turned Driver To APC Chieftain

Uche Odoputa, who used to be a popular Nollywood actor before his arrest and conviction in 2007 for drug trafficking, now works as a driver and one of the aides to an APC chieftain – Emeka Ebekee in Port Hacourt.

Odoputa was spotted on several campaign grounds with the Ebekee. After each occasion the former actor took over the wheel.
According to the information provided by Movie Moments, the APC chieftain also launched a boutique for Odoputa, where he deals on men’s clothes.
Imo State born actor, who gained popularity for his lover boy roles, was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on March 23, 2007 with several grammes of cocaine on him.
Having served about 6 years in prison, he was released, but not much has been heard about his acting career since then.

What has surprised many is the way and manner many celebrities and all the other industry ‘Mr Me toos’ totally ignored Zara’s cry when she was alive, only to ‘wake up’ when she passed away conveniently using social media to mourn her.

47-year-old veteran Nollywood & beautiful actress, Bukky Wright has opened on why her marriage broke up and why she has chosen to forgive her ex and in-laws.

It was really tough. I thank God my mother and siblings were alive. My first child was six, or there about; they were quiet young them. At first I took them but they (husband and in-laws) took them back from me. I came into the movie industry because of my children, thinking that if they watched my movies, they would be able to know their mum. However, God was directing my part. Initially I was not allowed to see my kids but all that is over now. In retrospect I don’t think that they were been wicked.

I believe it’s the part that God wanted me to go through. Maybe, If I’d not gone through what I went through with my ex mother-in law, I may not have been equipped to understand a lot of things today. God was trying to prepare me for the future. I don’t hate my in laws for what they did to me.

AMG Music Group, one of Nigeria’s rising record labels, recently unveiled its new act, Salami Quadri with stage name Esqui.
Esqui, a native of Osun state who has spent most of his years in Lagos is also known as ‘’AMG BOY” by his fans.
The name ‘’ESKQIU ‘’ came from his initials S.Q while AMG boy, represents his record label AMG Music Group.

Omawumi Finds New Love

Omawumi is not a bad singer. She didn’t win the Nigerian Idols competition many years ago, but the young lady grew to become one of the respected ladies of songs in Nigeria.

But then, she insists she was actually born into a home of farmers claiming her father had a farm in their home town in Warri.
Currently working on ONE.org’s theme song project ‘Cocoa na Chocolate’, the singer said she joined the campaign for agriculture to be revived in Africa because it used to be the continent’s source of income before the discovery of oil.
“I have always been into agriculture; my father has a 25-hectare land in Ubeji, in the outskirts of Warri. While I grew up, I used to go to the farm and we used to process cassava. I can make garri; I mean uprooting the cassava, the whole process of extraction and frying it. I can do it effortlessly same thing with fufu and tapioca. I am actively involved in agriculture because I grew in the farm.

We read so much about you in the news. Would you say that those things we read about you are true?
A lot of them have been false.
How do you feel when they are so false?
I am always then like, why should people be so evil? So evil like that? I tend to ask myself at that point why? People are so lazy that they cannot take time to seek out the truth! Okay, there is this recent one, which has been in the news lately, which refers to me as having impregnated my account officer.
In the first place, I do not know where that story emanated from. I don’t even know where that story could have come out from. I don’t know about it at all! But the impression out there is that it is true… Of course it is not true. Impression you said, but impression can also be in both ways. Initially nobody said whether it was true or not. So what I did was to correct whatever impression from my twitter page. But the story still went on.
It is a serious matter because now I am married. So it is unfair for anyone to put out such story about me perhaps because they want to sell their medium or sell their blog. It is really totally unfair to me, especially

Popular musician, Daddy Showkey, in a new interview with Punch has explained why he wears dreadlocks even though he's not a reggae artiste.
Excerpts: What is the story behind your dreadlocks yet you are not a reggae artiste?
I have had this dread for over 22 years. I don’t have to be a reggae musician to wear dreads. Reggae is from Jamaica, galala is Nigerian. There are reggae musicians that don’t have dreadlocks.
My own dreadlock is a vow between me and God. I told God that if I, a nobody from Ajegunle, become someone that the world would know, I would not cut my hair again.
