Just in: Buhari, APC governors, service chiefs, IGP meet in Aso Rock in an indoor meeting


President Muhammadu Buhari was said to have held a meeting with some service chiefs and northern governors in Abuja on Tuesday, February 19

Other persons in attendance at the meeting were Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu, Chief of Staff (COS) Abba Kyari, Mansur Dan-Ali, the minister of defence and Abdulrahman Danbazzau, the minister of interior were also at the meeting.


President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, February 19, convened a secret crucial meeting with service chiefs, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu and some northern governors most of which are from the All Progressives Congress (APC), The Independent reports.

The meeting which was held in the president's office at Aso Rock, Abuja, had in attendance state governors like Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa, Kashim Shettima of Borno and Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna.
Other attendees at the meeting were Chief of Staff (COS) Abba Kyari, Mansur Dan-Ali, the minister of defence and Abdulrahman Danbazzau, the minister of interior. Newsmen believe that the meeting will revolve around the security situation in the country.

Meanwhile, President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are said to have convened a crucial meeting at the ruling party’s secretariat in Abuja on Monday, February 18 .

The all-important gathering attended by caucus members of the APC is the first meeting of the party after the postponement of the presidential and National Assembly election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
