Sharia Police in Jigawa arrests 14 gay men, 12 rapists and 200 prostitutes
14 suspected gay men and 12 rapists were reportedly arrested by officials of the Jigawa Hisbah Board across the 27 local government of the state in 2019.
Speaking at the Board’s headquarters in Dutse, the state's commandant Ibrahim Dahiru Garki said the arrests were made between January to December 2019.

Fresh concerns have been raised by health experts on Nigerians’ increasing use of paracetamol, a drug meant for pain relief, to cook meat for household and commercial consumption.
LEADERSHIP investigation revealed that hundreds of households, restaurants and bars, especially those owned by small operators, have continued to use paracetamol to tenderise meat to save cost as the prices of firewood, kerosene and cooking gas hit the rooftop.

Court remands 11-year-old in a special correction centre for allegedly throwing toddler into a well in Lagos
Today, an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos ordered an 11-year-old boy to be remanded in a Special Correction Centre for boys in Oregun pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for allegedly throwing a one-year-old into a well.
The police charged the boy with murder and the Chief Magistrate, Adeola Adedayo, who gave the order, adjourned the case until March 6, for the DPP’s advice.
