Swansea shocked, Chelsea through
Premier League Swansea City fell victims to the first major giant-killing of the FA Cup third round on Sunday when they lost 3-2 away to League Two (fourth tier) side Oxford United.
Chelsea, fielding a near full-strength team, came through their home tie with League One Scunthorpe by two goals to nil and Tottenham Hotspur needed a controversial late penalty by Harry Kane to draw 2-2 at home to Leicester City. There were more than 50 league positions between the clubs at the Kassam Stadium, where Oxford came from behind to lead 3-1 after Ecuador international Jefferson Montero had put Swansea ahead. Liam Sercombe equalised from a penalty just before halftime and two goals in 10 minutes soon after the interval from Kemar Roofe put the home side in sight of victory.
Bafetimbi Gomis pulled one back for the Welsh club, who had made 10 changes from their last Premier League game, but Oxford held on.

Boko Haram in the north- east has now been degraded militarily - Buhari
Buhari stated this during the Interdenominational Church service to mark the 2016 Armed Forces and Remembrance Day at the National Christian Centre, Abuja yesterday January 10th.
He was represented by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo
“The armed forces contribute and represent one of the most patriotic institutions in the land playing a leading role in nation building. Daredevil falls 100ft to his death after hot air balloon stunt goes wrong
Reuben Abati; Davido, Baby Mamas & Other Stories
“What are you relieved about?”
“It is this David Adeleke and Sophia Momodu soap opera”.
“I tell you. It is a perfect subject for a good home video. But what is your own?”
“No. Nothing. I am just relieved that the parties involved have agreed to let peace reign”
“This will be about the third time I would hear of that matter being resolved.”
“Well, I think the Momodus and the Adelekes should just spare us. They should not forget there is a child involved. They have suddenly made Imade Adeleke, the most famous victim of Baby Mama-Baby Papa palaver in Nigeria. Both Davido and Sophia and their supporters’ clubs should please protect the baby, and not make her a poster child for that kind of subject.”
“But me, I am enjoying the story oh.”
“Of course, too many sadists in our land enjoy other people’s misery.”

Ivie Omoregie: Before You Sign That Employment Contract, Here Are a Few Key Clauses to Note
As
an employee, one of the prerequisites to having some sort of assurance
in a particular organisation is the Employment Contract. However, in a
country such as Nigeria where unemployment is rife, and hunger is real,
many job-seekers do not wish to “rock the boat” before gaining proper
entry into an establishment. It is unlikely for a newly employed person,
who has been job hunting for at least seven years, to negotiate any
aspect of the Employment Contract and it is because of the high rate of
unemployment that many employers choose to take advantage by enforcing
onerous terms on their employees.
An
Employment Contract, also known as Employment Agreement is a binding
document which sets out the obligations and expectations of the parties,
purportedly minimising future disputes.
